2010 Public Events

Collection for Albuquerque Title I Students

NMSEA is collecting items for Albuquerque students under Title 1 through APS. Members are encouraged to donate new or gently used student clothing including pants, shirts and coats; new socks and underwear for boys and girls in all sizes; pencils and pens; calculators; college-ruled paper; deodorant; toothbrushes; shampoo; see-thru backpacks; bar soap; gently used toys, books and stuffed animals; and non-perishable food items that can be used for lunch and after-school snacks including granola bars and small canned food items with easy-open lids.

A special Back-to-School collection project will run May to Aug 2010. Specific donation items requested: wide ruled and college ruled paper, wide ruled and college ruled spiral notebooks, 1 inch binders, #2 pencils, colored pencils, crayons, watercolors, compass, pencil sharpeners, protractors, notebook dividers, & locks. We will have a collection box at the monthly meeting.

" Enrolled Agents That Walk the Walk"

NMSEA will again support the Light the Night Walk on September 25, 2010 starting at 5:30 pm. Pat Jenkins will be the team captain for the two mile walk. Looking for volunteers to be team members. Contact Pat Jenkins if interested. Last year, NMSEA was the most successful corporate sponsor railing over $3,600 for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. There are some very nice prizes for various fundraing levels.

PLEASE NOTE: After July 14th she will be moving to our new location at: 4600 Montgomery NE, Ste 201-A, Albuquerque, NM 87109.

SHRED-FEST Santa Fe and Albuquerque - August, 2010

Shred-Fest 2010: Saturday, August 14, in Santa Fe from 11 am to 1 pm at Linda Ruckel’s Office, 6005 Jaguar Drive, Santa Fe and Saturday, August 21 in Albuquerque, from 10 am to 2 pm at Pat Jenkins’ Office, 3311 Candelaria, NE, Suite C, Albuquerque.

Need volunteers. If interested please contact Shelley sbarker800@aol.com or NMSEA nmsea@hotmail.com. Invite your clients to come and shred their documents. Food and drinks will be available. NMSEA will have a booth on site. WE NEED VOLUNTEERS for the booth and to help direct people with items to shred.
